About Us
What started as a casual smoke between neighbors turned into a years-long collaboration and the birth of our animated series. Inspired by our own mid-twenties chaos, Recreational is a comedy-fantasy cartoon about friendship and the weird magic of young adulthood.
It’s for anyone who’s ever felt lost and found comfort in community, laughter, or a late-night smoke sesh.

Josh Mccormack
Co-Creator, Toast the Cat
Currently a communications manager in the skiing industry, Josh has years of professional media experience. This includes work in journalism, book publishing, video production, and podcast development. He has been an avid creative writer since childhood.
Some of his favorite animated series include: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, The Owl House, Helluva Boss, and Danny Phantom
Michael Carroll
Co-Creator, Gary the Wizard
Michael, with a Master's in Teaching, has been working as an educator for seven years and is currently teaching sixth-grade math. He has a deep fervor for writing, animating, storyboarding, and filming, and has taken all opportunities to practice them since high school.
Some of his favorite animated series include: The Simpsons, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Young Justice, and South Park.
Liz Mahinay
Art & Animation
Liz is an Animation Graduate from De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, Malate, Manila, with a passion for creativity and storytelling. Throughout her college years, she explored the performing arts and concept studies, building her skills and collaborating with fellow artists.
She believes that every stroke of the pen and every brush of color holds the potential to make a difference.
Some of her favorite animated series include: She-ra and the Princess of Powers, Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, and Chowder.
Cameron mounts
Theo Williams
Cameron is a current Engineering student at Metropolitan State University in Denver. He courageously served in the U.S. Air Force. He has also worked in the aeronautical and automotive trades.
Some of his favorite animated series include: Samurai Jack, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Invincible
Izzy Heffington
Danny O'Hara
Izzy is a legal professional based in Denver. They hold a degree in anthropology and a minor in Computer Science. They also have an interest in music, art, and tabletop RPGs.

Vivek Rodricks
Sanjay Ramachandran
Vivek Rodricks graduated from Trinity University in 2018 with a degree in marketing and economics and works in cybersecurity in San Fransisco. Vivek enjoys skiing, traveling, and car shows.
